GEN Z ORGANIZATION
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 July 2026
This policy explains what happens to personal information when you visit the Gen Z Organization website, contact us, subscribe to updates, make a donation or follow a link to our store. We have written it to describe the website as it operates today. If a service changes in a way that affects your information, we will update this page.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
Gen Z Organization is responsible for the personal information it decides to collect and use through this website. Questions about privacy, or requests concerning your information, can be sent to info@irangenz.org.
2. Information we may receive
Most of the website can be read without giving us your name. Depending on how you use it, we may receive:
- Basic technical information: IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from the IP address, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time of a request. The hosting platform records this information to deliver and protect the website.
- Information you send us: your name, email address and anything you choose to include when you contact us or subscribe to updates.
- Donation and order information: the payment provider or store may send us the donor or customer name, contact details, amount, currency, transaction status and reference. We do not receive or store your full card number or PayPal password.
Because Gen Z Organization works on political and human-rights issues, a donation or message could sometimes suggest a political opinion. We do not use website activity to build political profiles. Where information could reveal a political view, we treat it as sensitive and use it only when permitted by law, with additional limits on access and disclosure.
3. Why we use information
We use personal information only for defined purposes: operating and securing the website; replying to messages; sending updates requested by a subscriber; administering donations and orders; keeping legally required financial records; preventing fraud or misuse; and maintaining reliable records of our communications.
Depending on the situation, our legal basis is your consent, the steps needed to provide a service you requested, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in running a secure and accountable organisation. You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
4. Donations, purchases and external websites
Donation buttons take you to PayPal. Store links may take you to a separate store or checkout service. Those providers collect payment and account information under their own terms and privacy notices. Please read the notice shown by the provider before submitting payment details. We receive only the information needed to confirm and administer the transaction.
Links to news sources, social platforms and other websites are provided for reference. Gen Z Organization does not control how those websites collect or use information.
5. Cookies and similar storage
The website uses WordPress, WooCommerce and Hostinger services. They may use short-lived cookies or browser storage to keep the site working, protect it from abuse, remember basic choices, and understand the source of a visit or transaction. At the date of this policy, we do not intentionally use behavioural advertising cookies and we do not sell browsing data.
You can remove or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect login, checkout, language or other site functions. If we introduce non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, we will provide an appropriate choice before using them where the law requires it.
6. Service providers and international transfers
We share information only when needed with organisations that help us run the website and related services, including Hostinger for hosting and security, WordPress/WooCommerce components, PayPal for payments, email or subscription services, and professional advisers or public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer must rely on a lawful safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections. A provider remains responsible for the processing it performs under its own privacy notice.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it serves the purpose for which it was collected. Routine security logs are kept according to the hosting provider’s short operational schedule. General correspondence is normally deleted or anonymised within 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless it forms part of an ongoing matter. Subscription details are kept until you unsubscribe or the service ends. Transaction and accounting records may be kept for up to seven years where Swedish accounting rules apply, or longer if another law or active dispute requires it.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may ask for access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain uses. You may also withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In Sweden, the supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Send a request to info@irangenz.org. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing or changing personal information.
9. Security and children
We use access controls, updates, backups and hosting security measures designed to protect information. No online system is completely risk-free, so please avoid sending sensitive documents unless we have agreed on a suitable secure method.
The website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect information from children. A person under the age required to give valid consent in their country should not submit personal information or make a payment without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
10. Changes and contact
We may revise this policy when the website, our services or legal requirements change. The latest version and its date will always appear on this page. Privacy questions can be sent to info@irangenz.org.
